my mexican friend told me that males in Mexico can do whatever they want, beat their wives and the police wont do nuthing about it. I find it so sad how they allow such a thing, but in the USA if a man beats a woman your going to jail for sure

also a lot of the un-cooperativeness regarding Tom in Germany is very much linked to the topic of the movie.

"Valkyrie" based on actual events, a plot to assassinate Hitler is unfurled during the height of WWII.

^ The German government or Germany itself is not really warm to the whole Nazi Germany story being re-hashed. They don't want even more movies depicting Germany in a bad way. To an extent I can see their point.

For me Bordertown is good movie in everything and I don't have any objection about it

The movie isn't perfect, but it's a start.

With two films on the topic and the DVDs out now, it deserves more discussion

than "J-lo, producer and star, booed". That's worse than no promotion at all, jmo.

i don't think that it has anything to do with that, they booed 2 other movies that year, including '300' but since they had those ppic of jen crying, which wasn't even for the booing, since the booing happend in the press screening and not the premiere they made a big deal about it.

Remember when Bordertown premiered at the Berlin Film Festival? For it to get booed at

the end was an outrage; no way did this film deserve that kind of treatment. Originally, most

theater owners in the U.S decided to show Bordertown, over Minnie Driver's version, because of

Jen's name recognition and past successes @ the box office.

I saw the movie A Virgin in Juarez. Its the Minnie Driver film that I find very curiously similar to Jen's Bordertown film. I would like to write a review on it and post it in here if thats alright.

I watched the movie she looked good and it was sad. She did a good job...but man the movie was soooo disturbing!!! it really bothered me..i had bad dreams lol. i feel bad for those women, but i'm glad jen put it out there and brought awareness.
